Great Tastes of America brings a different American themed burger to McDonald’s for 5 weeks every year. We wanted to find a new way to give people a taste of the USA, so we created an immersive music experience. 5 bespoke tracks based on 5 classic American styles of music. Users built up a melody and dropped in samples. As they added layers, a graffiti inspired visualiser painted out the sound in realtime.


The mobile experience let users walk to to power the music. The beat adapted to fit the rhythm of their feet.
